Open Question: What size should I make images for a low res disc?

I've been doing photoshoots for friends and family. Now I've decided to advertise my services. I would like to offer a package that includes a low res disc which images can be printed from. I would like people to be able to make their own prints, up to a certain size. I was thinking 8 x 6 for this. First question - is 8x6 considered low resolution? Secondly - how do I do this? I thought it was just a case of saving a copy of the edited image at that size, but now I've been reading about PPI and I'm very confused....If I change the file to 8x6 in Photoshop, and the person with the disc tries to make it bigger, will it look rubbish? I'd also like to add that I watermark my images online, but not on the disc.... Read More »
